Michael Goulais, Founder and Co-Chair, has over 35 years experience in the Shopping Centre Industry. As Vice President, Retail Development with Dylex, one of Canada’s largest retailers, Michael opened more than 1000 stores across Canada from 1970-1985. He founded an independent shopping centre consultancy firm in 1985 and was the lead consultant on numerous shopping centre projects including the Montreal Eaton Centre, Hazelton Lanes, Metro Hall and Millcroft Shopping Centre. Michael is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centres, the Retail Council of Canada and a past Chairman of ICSC Canada.

Paul has over 28 years experience in the shopping centre and retail real estate industry and has an in-depth knowledge of the Canadian retail market including property management, leasing, lease negotiations and retail real estate strategy. His extensive experience includes a long career with both Ivanhoe Cambridge and Cadillac Fairview. Most recently he was Senior Vice President, National Leasing where he was responsible for overseeing the leasing of over 11 Million Square Feet of retail space in 15 shopping centres. In addition, Paul led the team that leased both Vaughan Mills in Toronto and CrossIron Mills in Calgary. Paul has his Senior Certified Leasing Specialist (SCLS) and Senior Certified Shopping Centre Manager (SCSM) designations with ICSC. Paul was recently the Chair of the CLS Admissions and Governing Committee for ICSC as well as the Past Ontario ICSC Provincial Operations Director and a Past Co-Chair of the Canadian ICSC Convention.

As Senior Vice President, Marathon Buildings and Shopping Centre Group, he was responsible for management, leasing and development of 17 Million square feet of combined shopping centre and office building space as well as strategic land holdings. He was President of Aecon Buildings Group and Eastern Construction Company Limited. Bob serves on the Board of Directors for Providence Healthcare, on the Board of Governors of Humber College and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centres.

In the last 5 years he was Senior Vice President at SmartCentres, a major Canadian shopping centre developer, where he held various positions including negotiating for all major anchor store transactions such as Lowes, Canadian Tire Corporation, Rona, Home Depot. He led a development group responsible for over $500 million dollars in developing retail centres from land acquisition, municipal approvals to store openings and the group that was responsible for leasing, development and/or redevelopment of the Retrocom REIT. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centres.
